19 Resolutions for 2019
As the first day of 2019 comes to a close, I’m thinking about what I want to come of this year, Last year, I wrote up 18 Resolutions for 2018, and while I did not complete all of my goals, I don’t think I did too terribly. As I noted then, “New Year, New Me” rarely works, but I do think that making a list of goals is indeed helpful. As such, I’ve decided to create 19 resolutions for 2019, in the hopes that I will fulfill at least a handful of them, as I did with those from 2018. So, without further ado, here are my 19 resolutions for 2019[1] (In no particular order):
- Start running again
- Eat a balanced diet
- Follow a regular sleep schedule
- Exercise 4-6 days a week
- Complete the PopSugar Reading Challenge
- Re-organize and properly catalogue my personal library
- Win NaNoWriMo
- Watch all of Crash Course
- Learn to read basic Greek and/or Latin
- Re-learn how to knit
- Have something I wrote or translated be published
- Finish a draft of my book of short stories
- Do a minimum 100 hours of volunteer work
- Find joy in at least one moment of every day
- Acquire full-time paid employment
- Climb Mt. Katahdin in the fall (and not get eaten by a bear)
- Find a way to compost even though I don’t have a good place to compost where I currently live
- Spend more time outdoors
- Remain open to possibilities that I don’t currently know to expect
Bonus resolution #20: review this post on January 1st 2020 and see how I did 😘
Cheers,
Talia
P.S. Annie and I just finished watching the New Year’s Special of Doctor Who and it was AWESOME! Review to come later this week.
[1] Including some repeats that I fell short of in 2018 😂
